BBC Scotland channel: where the new channel will be available


The BBC is making some changes to cater for its new Scotland TV channel, which is just weeks away from launching.

The BBC Scotland TV channel officially launches on Sunday 24th February 2019 and as a result, the BBC will be making a number of changes across digital TV platforms.

For viewers in Scotland
Freeview & YouView channel 9 (SD) 115 (HD)
Sky channel 115
Freesat channel 106
Virgin Media channel 108

The current BBC Two Scotland channel will cease broadcasting at midnight on the 17th February 2019; from this point the service will show the main network version of BBC Two as seen in England. During the week commencing 18th February 2019, Sky and Freesat receivers in Scotland will be reprogrammed to point to the main network version of BBC Two HD on channel 102, with BBC Scotland TV added to the channel numbers listed above.

On Freeview, BBC Four moves to 82 to make room for BBC Scotland on channel 9.

The new BBC Scotland TV channel won't be broadcast on Freeview or YouView outside of Scotland, however viewers with connected devices will be able to stream the channel via the BBC iPlayer.
