TalkTalk reports TV channel fault

TalkTalk has advised users to update the software on their TV boxes, as reports emerge of viewers missing channels.

TalkTalk TV, which is based on YouView - a hybrid of terrestrial Freeview channels and channels delivered via broadband internet, contains a number of additional 'boost channels', found the 300-599 channel range. This include premium channels from Sky, Discovery, UKTV and more, which form part of a customer's subscription to TalkTalk.

A fault means some viewers are not seeing these 'boost channels' appear in the guide, although the main free-to-air channels continue to work as normal.

The company says its engineers and looking in to the issue, and have suggested that affected viewers should update their TalkTalk TV receiver's software using this guide,
