Freeview: Fog and engineering work to impact reception

Engineering work and the weather are conspiring to provide reception issues for Freeview users across the UK.

Foggy condition may affect television and radio reception across parts of the country this week, due to associated atmospheric conditions which cause a temperature inversion. Viewers may temporarily lose access to channels or encounter pixelation of services, but should not retune.

At the same time, engineering work is due to take place at a number of transmitters this week as work continues on preparing regions for future Freeview frequency changes at some sites and other maintenance takes place on other sites.

  • The following lists main transmitters and selected main relays that are likely to be impacted by engineering work during the week commencing 5th November 2018.
  • Viewers should not retune.
