Your guide to Eleven Sports

A new era of sports broadcasting in the UK has begun, with a new "Netflix of sport".

Online sports service Eleven Sports is going live for users in the British Isles. Eleven becomes the new home of La Liga, Serie A and Eredivise football as well as other sports including this year's PGA Championships. Eleven are also reported to be in the running for the UFC rights, taking over from BT Sport.

As previously announced, there will be two main channels: Eleven Sports 1 and 2, plus La Liga TV, broadcast as regular channels, just online. Eleven Sports also offers a range on-demand content, including clips. Eleven Sports 1 was spotted broadcasting early on Friday morning, although the full service is yet to go live.

How to access
  • To access the service, viewers will need to go www.elevensports.uk and sign up for the service.
  • Additionally, apps for Apple and Android users are available for mobile and tablet users.

Prices

  • Standard prices start from £5.99 for a monthly pass and £59.99 for an annual pass for the service.
  • But an early bird annual pass is to be available with a £10 discount - £49.99 if you subscribe before 31st August.

  • If you want to watch coverage of the 2018 PGA Golf Championship, you'll be able to buy a separate pass for £6.99, although by way of promotion for the new service, the first two days of the event (9th and 10th August) will be offered free on Facebook Live via the Eleven Sports Facebook page, according to the broadcaster.
  • There will also be free access to a limited number of Serie A and La Liga games via Facebook this season.

Terms
Once Eleven Sports UK goes live this month, you will only be able to access the service on one device at a time - so no sharing of passwords is possible!

And the UK/Ireland subscription will only entitle users to access Eleven Sports UK and Ireland service; there's no access to their other services for places such as Belgium and Poland.

Availability on other platforms
As yet, Eleven Sports has not been able to announce a carriage deal with a traditional pay TV operator, so at least at launch the service is only online, via computers, as well as Apple & Android mobiles and tablets.
