Pick+1 arrives on Freeview

A timeshift version of Sky's free-to-air channel Pick has been given a slot on Freeview channel 97.

Pick+1 is carried on Freeview multiplex COM7, which in laymans terms means you need to have a Freeview HD compatible receiver and already be able to receive BBC News HD on channel 107 to be able to get the channel. The channel takes the bandwidth previously used to broadcast CBS Action+1, which closed on 64 at the end of January.

The main Pick channel, which shows a variety of entertainment programmes, including some old Sky One shows, continues unaffected on Freeview channel 11.

Meanwhile, YourTV+1 has been removed from channel 73: the channel was only operation on Freeview for an hour early in the morning, and was therefore only holding a channel number slot and not of use to viewers.

***Update: February 2019 - Pick+1 has moved to channel 92.***
