TalkTalk announces integrated multiscreen TV experience

TalkTalk has announced an integration of its TV services into a new unified platform from 2018.

The new update to TalkTalk TV launching early 2018 will see the integration of set-top box viewing, TalkTalk TV Store and TalkTalk TV’s suite of mobile apps come together into a new unified platform, known simply as "TalkTalk TV".

The move follows the recent overhaul of the YouView-based set-top-box used by TalkTalk. TalkTalk TV will also enhance its multi-screen viewing experience for customers with the new TalkTalk TV app. At no extra cost to customers, it will be available on up to four iOS or Android enabled devices as well as on the web.

The improvements to the TV service are powered by CSG International’s Ascendon digital platform.

Will Ennett, acting MD at TalkTalk TV, said:
“We’re focussed on offering a truly premium TV service at an unbeatable price. With the internet and mobile changing the way our customers watch TV, we’ve tailored our service to suit their evolving needs. We’ve streamlined TalkTalk TV to create a more integrated and seamless experience across devices, making it even easier for customers to watch the entertainment they love whether at home or on the go.”
