Talking Pictures TV: How to watch

Talking Pictures TV is the vintage British film channel, featuring classic films and series, often found on no other TV channel in the UK.

Since launching in 2015, distribution of the channel has increased to cover all main TV platforms and is now simulcast on a number of local TV channels.

How to watch
The standard definition channel is available in the following places:
  • Sky channel 343
  • Freesat channel 306
  • Freeview channel 81.  In some areas also on channel 7 or 8. See below.
  • YouView (BT TV, TalkTalk, Plusnet TV) channel 81^
  • Virgin Media channel 445 

FROM 30th NOVEMBER 2017, Talking Pictures will be changing frequencies, lifting coverage to around 90% of Freeview viewers. Users of standard Freeview boxes, who can already receive channels like "Yesterday" on 19 will gain access following a retune in the afternoon. Viewers who previously were able to receive Talking Pictures on Freeview may need to retune to restore access.

There are no timeshift (+1) or high definition (HD) versions of this channel.
