BT showcases AMC drama Fear The Walking Dead on Freeview

BT is to offer viewers its third free sample of AMC drama programming tonight as the second season of Fear The Walking Dead gets underway.

Following in the footsteps of the season one premiere of the show last August and the series opener of US drama Manhattan in January, the latest AMC freebie will be shown at 9pm on the BT Showcase channel, Freeview channel 59.

Fear The Walking Dead is the AMC produced companion series to The Walking Dead, exploring how a virus transformed the world into the undead apocalypse.

Further episodes of 'FTWD' will be shown exclusively on the AMC from BT channel. The channel is available on BT TV (YouView) 332 (SD) and 381 (HD) as well as on Sky on channel 192 (for viewers with a BT Sport subscription on Sky, except those who subscribe through Plusnet). The original, The Walking Dead, is shown in the UK on Fox, which is available on all major pay TV platforms except BT and Plusnet TV.

FTWD is simulcast with the US screening of the show at 2am early Monday (late Sunday US time) with a repeat at 9pm Monday evening. For law-abiding viewers without access to AMC in the UK, the show will be legally available on-demand via Amazon Prime Video later this year.

Ahead of the AMC freebie on BT Showcase, the channel will show highlights from the Champions League at 8:00pm followed by two short BT Sport films on the positive impact of sport in India.
