DWTV added to international Freeview portal

Germany's DWTV has become the latest addition to the international channel offering available on Freeview channel 244.

Part of the Vision TV portal, the channel from Deutsche Welle, the German equivalent of the World Service, providers viewers with hourly news bulletins and factual programme strands featuring documentaries on scientific and cultural matters.

Former BBC HARDtalk presenter Tim Sebastian is one of the presenters on the channel's flagship talk show Conflict Zone .

DWTV joins France 24, China's CCTV, Nigerian TVC and Hindi news channel ABP News in Vision TV's international news section.

Accessing Vision TV:
A preferably unlimited internet connection of 2Mbps or more, plus a compatible Freeview device is required to access channel 244. The portal is part of a small range of niche services streaming to connected devices found between channels 225 and 256 on the Freeview EPG.

  1. Can anyone advise if VisionTV works on Freeview Play compatible televisions, just tried tuning into popxport on dwtv to be faced with a blue screen but after trying a few vision channels it appears to be the same blue screen for all!
