Howzat? Free Sky Sports Day Pass on offer for Ashes Opening Day

Sky is offering Now TV users a free Sky Sports Day Pass worth £6.99 to coincide with the start of the 2015 Ashes First Test, which commences on Wednesday 8th July at the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff.

Customers with a Now TV account should quote the code "NOWTVASHES" on on 8th July.

The Pass will enable viewers access to all Sky Sports channels for a 24 hour period. According to Sky, voucher codes must be applied to Now TV accounts and used by 23:59 on 8th July 2015 otherwise it is void.

Now TV is available on a number of devices, including desktop PCs, TV streaming devices such as Roku and Chromecast as well as on some smartphones and tablets.

Gidon Katz, Director of Now TV, said:
"We know premium live sport is one of the main reasons that our customers choose Now TV. I’m bowled over that we’re able to give sport fans the chance to watch day one of the first Ashes Test for free. I am sure there will be plenty of people joining me in secretly tuning in at work!"

Off the back of a thrilling series against New Zealand, England will be doing everything they can against Australia to regain the Ashes. Coverage of the Ashes will be screened on a dedicated channel, Sky Sports Ashes, which replaces Sky Sports 2 during the summer.

Now TV offers numerous options to get Sky Sports. A Day Pass providing 24 hours of access is available for £6.99. A Weekly Pass costs £10.99. From August, a new monthly pass will launch, costing £31.99.

  1. I have Now TV and it says that this is not a valid code for a one day sport pass?

  2. Wasn't too clear in the original press release, but I can confirm the code isn't valid until 0:00 8th July. Use the code by 23:59.
I've updated the text above as well.

    1. Thank you, voucher codes can be a good way to save on Now TV subscriptions.
