Additional services launch on Vision TV portal

Vision TV has announced further additions to its recently launched portal available on Freeview channel 244.

News 18 India and Iqra TV are now being streamed to viewers via the Vision TV service for those with compatible and connected Freeview HD devices.

Vision TV is operated by Vision 247, a customer of Synapse TV, who also provide the platform for TVPlayer and VuTV's streamed services on Freeview.

The channel additions are the third batch of channels that have launched on Vision TV since it relaunched on Freeview last month. TV/C News, France 24 (French) and Vox Africa headlined the second batch that launched at the end of November, joining the original launch line up that included Showcase, PTV Prime, CCTV, Ben, BON and Sports Tonight back on the 11th November 2014.

Further channel launches are expected in the future.

Vision TV has published a list of compatible Freeview devices that will work with the service, providing they are connected to a preferably unlimited broadband internet service. Further details are available on the Vision TV website.

  • Planet Knowledge was configured on channel 245 today. The new factual streamed service will launch soon, but is currently only available to viewers in the coverage area of BBC Four HD and Al Jazeera HD - around 70% of the UK population.
