Dave Ja Vu back to 24 hours on Freeview

Timeshift channel Dave Ja Vu makes a return to full-time broadcasting on Freeview and YouView from today on channel 25.

Dave Ja Vu, a time-shift service for leading entertainment channel Dave, has only been broadcasting three hours of content at night on Freeview since summer of 2013, when parent company UKTV took its bandwidth away to launch Drama.

Now fans of Dave have an opportunity to catch up on smash hit shows such as Storage Hunters UK, Red Bull Cliff Diving and Lizard Lick Towing one hour after they have aired on the channel.

To benefit from the change, viewers need to retune Freeview as the service has moved frequencies in order to extend its broadcast hours.

UKTV has taken over the Freeview bandwidth previously used by Channel 4 for the past nine years; most recently used by its film channel Film4+1, which from today is only available in standard definition to viewers with Freeview HD devices and YouView boxes.

The slate on Dave Ja Vu's old Freeview slot originally said the service would return on 1st December.

  1. Good to see it back but how long long will it last this time ?

  2. I've retuned my freeview box and still can't get the channel!!

  3. I wonder how long this time it's 24/7 ?
