Community Channel joins TVPlayer

The Community Channel has become the latest channel to join Simplestream's TVPlayer mobile and tablet streaming service.

The channel is owned and run by national charity Media Trust, broadcasts entertaining stories, inspiring series and pioneering documentaries. The channel helps to showcase the inspirational work of charities, new independent directors and community filmmakers through flagship series such as Brilliant Britain and London360.

Lewis Arthur, Platform Manager for TVPlayer, says, "We are delighted that Community Channel has joined TVPlayer. We are committed to increasing our content offering for our users and are excited that Community Channel brings their engaging content to our platform."

Recent highlights include its "Do Something Brilliant" campaign, funded by Big Lottery Fund, celebrating the talented people and organisations across the United Kingdom doing brilliant things to make a big difference to the world around them.

Alex Kann, Director of Community Channel and Audience Engagement, says, "Launching on TVPlayer is a fantastic opportunity for Community Channel to reach more viewers across broadcast, online, on-demand and streamed services."
