BBC and S4C team up for Wales China Cup coverage


Football fans will be able to follow the progress of Wales in the China Cup with BBC Wales and S4C, including viewers outside Wales.

Manager Ryan Giggs will be in charge of his first match as Wales take on China at the Guangxi Sports Center in Nanning, in the semi-final of the competition on Thursday 22nd March. 

Live semi-final coverage will be broadcast on BBC One Wales, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru, and online - kick off is at 11:35am GMT. Extended match highlights will be featured on S4C later the same day.

The competition reaches its conclusion on Monday 26th March 2018, with the winners of both semi-finals facing each other in the final, while the two losing semi-finalists will play against each other in the third place play-off.

Wales’ match will be broadcast live on S4C, with English commentary also available through the S4C red button service. On radio, BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru will provide coverage. Kick off for the third-place play-off will be at 8:35am BST, while the final gets underway at 12:35pm BST. Extended match highlights will be shown later that day on BBC Wales television.

Clips and highlights of the games will also be available on the BBC Wales Sport and BBC Cymru Fyw websites. BBC Wales will be producing the coverage.
