Notts TV ties up with Gem 106 for second TV/radio simulcast
Local station Notts TV is to simulcast a second show from regional radio station Gem 106, with the arrival of "Weekend Anthems" on the channel.
Notts TV viewers will from this weekend be able to watch along every Saturday from 5pm to 8pm as Gem 106 presenter Jennie Longdon plays dance anthems from across the past few decades.
It's the second radio/TV crossover between the two broadcasters, with Gem 106's breakfast show, hosted by Sam and Amy, on Notts TV since August 2015.
The local TV station for Nottingham has been once of the most successful local channels that have gone on air in the past four years, avoiding all the controversies, takeovers and programme commitment reductions that have affected other local stations. Earlier this week it was announced that David Lloyd, former Operations Director at Orion Media - the company that used to own Gem 106 - had join the board of Notts TV alongside former ITV Central editor Mike Blair.
Notts TV is broadcast on Freeview channel 7 for viewers within range of the low-power service from Nottingham and Waltham TV transmitters. Cable viewers in the area can find the channel on Virgin 159. On Sky, Notts TV is available to viewers living within Sky's East Midlands TV region on channel 117.
