Extra Freeview slots for popular motorsport show

Fans of Mobil 1 the Grid will now be able to watch the brand new series on free-to-air sports channel Front Runner.

Front Runner has secured rights to show the motorsports magazine, which it will show at 10am on Saturday, with a repeat on Monday at 6:30pm.

Channel 4 and Motors TV also show the programme in the UK, but particularly for Freeview viewers, Front Runner TV's new slots gives fans a chance to watch it at a more social hour; Channel 4 shows it at around 6:20am on Saturday and Motors TV isn't broadcast on Freeview anymore.

Mobil 1 the Grid airs highlights from the biggest races, the fastest drivers and the cutting edge technology in the world of motorsport. Broadcast every two weeks from February through to December, the half hour adrenaline fuelled show features action from the world of 4 wheeled motorsport.

Ryan Scarratt from Front Runner said:
Mobil 1 the Grid is one of the most popular motorsports shows available and we’re delighted to be broadcasting it on Front Runner. I’m sure there will be many motorsports fans tuning in at 10am to find out what’s been going on across the globe in motorsport.”

Earlier this month, Front Runner added Bike World to its schedule, featuring action on 2 wheels, restoring the show back to Freeview following the removal of Bike World's other UK broadcast channel - Motors TV - from Freeview last year.

Front Runner launched last year and is available on Freeview channel 91 (subject to coverage), Freesat channel 250 and Sky channel 468.
