Bloomberg has launched a new service on DAB digital radio in London.
The station will offer listeners full coverage from the financial markets, including morning show Bloomberg Daybreak Europe (6-10am), Bloomberg Markets: European Close (4-5pm) and a simulcast of Bloomberg Television London throughout the day.
It's Bloomberg's second attempt on DAB - it was one of the original operators of a specialist digital radio station on DAB at the turn of the century. The original Bloomberg Radio service closed atthe end of 2002. Bloomberg relaunches on DAB at a time when specialist stations are booming on the platform and with better coverage following years of investment by multiplex operators. The new station goes head to head in the capital with rival financial station Share Radio.
Bloomberg Radio is carried on VHF Block 11B - the London 3 multiplex, 64kbps mono.
