RadioWorks, the UK’s independent radio advertising specialist, have appointed John Tulley to the newly created role of Managing Director.
Tulley will assume day-to-day operational responsibility for the business to allow RadioWorks’ Chief Executive Michael Charnley-Heaton to focus on developing new income streams, mainly from a range of exciting new M&A opportunities.
Tulley, who takes up his role on June 20th, joins from ESI Media, home of London’s Evening Standard, where he was involved in the transition of the Independent from a print title to its current digital format.
With over 25 years’ experience in the media and advertising industry, Tulley’s career has spanned TV, radio, press and digital, with the majority of his experience gained in radio advertising with senior positions at Bauer, Emap and Capital Radio.
Michael Charnley-Heaton, Chief Executive of RadioWorks said:
“Following our 25th Anniversary and the most successful year ever, RadioWorks is growing at an unprecedented rate with 2016 already 20% up year-on-year. Coupled with the launch of DigitalAudioWorks and the success of Maple Street Studios, it’s now time to further strengthen my management team.
John Tulley added
“I’m thrilled to be back in commercial radio as it continues to retain its unique appeal to both listeners and advertisers in the face of evolving platforms. I couldn’t resist this opportunity with RadioWorks. It is such an energetic, creative and passionate team that is totally focused on delivering great service to our customers. I’m very much looking forward to helping drive the business to even greater success in the future.”
