BT is to show semi-final first leg fixtures from the Champions League and Europa League on its Freeview channel, BT Showcase.
On Wednesday 27th April, there will be live coverage from the Santiago Bernabeu stadium of Atlético Madrid v Bayern Munich in the Champions League, with coverage of the match starting at 7pm.
On Thursday 28th April, live coverage of Shakhtar v Seville will be available from 8pm.
Both matches are available on Freeview channel 59. The other semi-finals featuring Man City in the Champions League and Liverpool in the Europa League will remain on BT's subscription sports service.
BT said at the beginning of the season that any British sides in either competition would be shown "at least once", which the telecoms giant duly did earlier in the season - although if either Man City or Liverpool reach the finals of their respective competitions, this would guarantee a second free-to-air outing for the teams.
Reports this week suggest that BT is considering live streaming the Champions League final for free to counterbalance the competition's poor TV ratings compared to ITV in previous seasons.
