BBC Red Button: channel guide

You can watch and record BBC Red Button programmes on all major digital TV platforms. You can access the service by pressing the red button on BBC TV channels (except BBC News HD and CBeebies HD on Freeview and YouView) or going to the channel numbers listed below.

  • Usually, the BBC offers one stream on the red button, but can on occasion increase the number of available streams for special events, such as the Olympics.
  • The BBC also offers additional content via the connected Red Button (Red Button+), available on more recently purchased smart TVs, YouView boxes and Virgin Media TiVo. Devices that support Red Button+ will sidestep the service listed below in favour of streaming extra coverage of major sports and music events via the internet.
