Smooth Extra replaces The Arrow on satellite

Smooth Extra, the national digital radio offshoot of Smooth Radio, has gone live on satellite, where it's replaced rock music station The Arrow.

Sky users can listen to the station on channel 0146.

Smooth Extra was launched on DAB digital radio at the end of 2014 as part of owner Global's drive to create extra radio services.

The station targets listeners over 45, playing songs "from a broad range of decades". Parts of its schedule is a simulcast of the London version of Smooth Radio.

The change means The Arrow is now only available online and in Greater London via DAB digital radio.
