Satellite Update: Sony Pictures Television rejigs kids channel portfolio

Satellite Update
Children's channel POP Girl, part of Sony Pictures Television's portfolio of channels, has been closed down.

The channel, which first launched in 2007, was the sister service to POP and Tiny POP. Its satellite bandwidth has been taken over by Kix+1, a timeshift version of the children's action and adventure channel.

As part of the changes, Sony Pictures Television has shuffled the following services on Sky:
  • 626 - POP+1
  • 629 - Kix+1

Kix+1 has not replaced POP Girl on Freesat, where channel 604, the former home of POP Girl currently remains vacant.

Meanwhile, YourTV, the new free-to-air channel from Fox International Channels is now available free-to-air in standard definition on both Sky (275) and Freesat (161).
