Special programme for the South East after a month of travel chaos

The BBC is to broadcast a special TV programme covering the impact of the migrant crisis on the traffic across South East England to viewers in the region on Monday evening.

Channel Tunnel Crisis: A BBC South East special will replace scheduled programmes on BBC One South East on Monday 3rd August at 10:35. The programme comes after a month of severe travel problems across many parts of Kent as a result of a backlog of traffic trying to reach France amidst industrial and migrant action in Calais.

BBC One South East is available outside of the region via Sky channel 963 and Freesat channel 959. Viewers in the South East watching BBC One HD will need to switch to standard definition for the broadcast.

  2. Thank you. To clarify, BBC One South East is only available in some regions on Virgin Media; it's not universally available on 858.
