Gidon Katz, Director of Now TV, said:
"We know premium live sport is one of the main reasons that our customers choose Now TV. I’m bowled over that we’re able to give sport fans the chance to watch day one of the first Ashes Test for free. I am sure there will be plenty of people joining me in secretly tuning in at work!"
Off the back of a thrilling series against New Zealand, England will be doing everything they can against Australia to regain the Ashes. Coverage of the Ashes will be screened on a dedicated channel, Sky Sports Ashes, which replaces Sky Sports 2 during the summer.
Now TV offers numerous options to get Sky Sports. A Day Pass providing 24 hours of access is available for £6.99. A Weekly Pass costs £10.99. From August, a new monthly pass will launch, costing £31.99.
