DAB digital radio changes: Heart coming off North East Wales DAB

Heart North Wales is coming off local DAB digital radio in North East Wales on 1st April.

Multiplex operator MuxCo confirmed that the station, which is owned by Communicorp under a franchise agreement with Global Radio, has decided to leave the Wrexham, Chester and Liverpool local DAB multiplex at the end of the month.

The station continues on FM and online. Part of the area will continue to be able to listen to the North West England version of Heart via the Liverpool local DAB multiplex.

Other changes (updated 31/03/2015):
  • Premier Gospel is joining local DAB in Surrey and South London on 1st April 2015.
  • In Peterborough, Connect FM is now available on DAB.
  • Asian Sound has now joined the local DAB service for Bradford and Huddersfield.
  • Heat and Kisstory removed from Central Lancs and Norwich local DAB. They were only recently added to the local DAB service in the area.
  • And Jack FM in Bristol, Southampton and Swindon becomes SAM FM from 1st April.
