& TV comes, Lamhe goes

Zee TV has this evening formally unveiled its forthcoming new channel &TV at a launch event in London.

&TV launches in the UK on the 6th April following its successful launch in India. &TV's launch coincides with Zee TV's 20th anniversary year in the UK.

&TV will replace nostalgic channel Lamhe, which according to BizAsia will close on the 1st April ahead of &TV arriving, less than two years after it was launched in the UK.

Lamhe is broadcast on Sky and Virgin Media as well free-to-view via streaming service TVPlayer. Shortly after it launched it became available on Freeview in Manchester for a few months. The channel has been broadcast free-to-air on satellite, for Freesat viewers with their receivers in 'non-Freesat mode'.
