It's owner Made Television has won five licences across the UK to operate local TV and Bristol is the first of its stations to go live. Its sister channel in Cardiff goes live a week today, with stations in Leeds and Newcastle launching in November and a further station for Teesside scheduled for later in 2015.

Virgin Media is adding the channel within Bristol on channel 159
update 1: the launch on Virgin Media is delayed ;
update 2: Made in Bristol has confirmed a launch date of 21st October .
The channel will launch on Sky channel 117 in the Bristol area on the 24th November.
Made in Bristol has been testing on Freeview channel 8 for several weeks so that viewers in its coverage area who had to retune Freeview as part of wider changes to the digital TV service on the 3rd September will have seen the channel added on channel 8 back then. It's not available on relay transmitters where only part of the Freeview service is carried.
