Sky Sports News HQ App made available to Now TV Box owners

Sky has made Sky Sports News HQ available to Now TV subscribers who don't have the sports pass ahead of football transfer deadline day.

From today, those who access Now TV through the Now TV Box and have an active Now TV pass – sports, entertainment or movies - will be able to watch Sky Sports News HQ through a dedicated app on their homepage.

According to the announcement from Sky, those with a Sky Sports Day or Week Pass will be able to continue watching Sky Sports News HQ via the Now TV Box app "even when their current pass has expired. For 30 days from the point of activation they’ll still be able to keep up with all the latest sporting news through the Now TV Box."

Sky Sports News HQ is also available via the app to those with an active Now TV Entertainment Month Pass or Sky Movies Month Pass without needing to get a sport pass.

Commenting on the announcement, Gidon Katz, Director of Now TV said: “On Monday we’ll see the frenzy of Transfer Deadline Day reach fever pitch as the clock ticks down to 11pm. Sky Sports News HQ is always right at the heart of the latest breaking sports news and the new app on the Now TV Box means sports fans can now get even more from their Now TV passes.”

The Now TV box with Sky Sports News HQ app retails at £9.99 and also includes catch-up TV from BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5.
