More drama and children's TV added to Freesat

  • But two music channels removed
Freesat has announced the addition of two new services on the free-to-air satellite service from today.

True Drama, which originally launched last year as a free-to-air channel on Sky, can now be viewed on channel 153. Children's timeshift channel Tiny POP+1 has launched on Freesat channel 609.

Both services are part of the CSC Media bouquet of channels that was sold to Sony Pictures Television last month. The launch brings all of the 'True Channels', which include True Entertainment and True Movies 1/2, to Freesat.

Channel removals
However, CSC sister channels Flava (ch. 502) and Bliss (506) have been removed. Magic (523) offers Bliss viewers an alternative.

The new services should be automatically added to the Freesat line-up; but some receivers may not update until overnight tonight.
