UKTV to launch new on-demand service

Programmes from Dave, Really and other UKTV channels will be brought together in a new  on-demand service from broadcaster UKTV.

The new service, called UKTV Play will begin rolling out on iOS this summer, followed by the launch of versions for PC and YouView by the end of the year. Previously, UKTV had been rolling out on-demand services linked to individual channels.

According to UKTV, "content will be compiled in familiar and intuitive collections, such as by topic and real-life events, as well as featuring dynamic ‘staff picks’, box sets and advance previews of new programmes."

Featured programmes include Storage Hunters, Crackanory, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, Dara O Briain: School of Hard Sums, Inquisition, Raiders of the Lost Art, Crime Stories, Rescue Code One, Most Haunted and Ghost Adventures, along with a selection of BBC programmes that are shown on the UKTV network.
