London and Scottish versions of TalkSPORT now live on DAB digital radio

Updated | DAB digital radio listeners in London and parts of Scotland can now choose between two versions of sports radio station TalkSPORT.

The national version continues as normal on the Digital 1 multiplex, but listeners in the capital can also choose TalkSPORT London, which is broadcast on the London 2 multiplex. In Central Scotland, Aberdeen and Ayr, a Scottish opt-out is available on local multiplexes.

The London and Scottish versions enable the station to carry coverage of different sporting events, such as an alternative football commentary as well as seperate advertising on DAB. These are the regionalised versions of the station that have been available on analogue (AM) radio, according to documents submitted to Ofcom last month.
