Quest and Quest+1 change Freeview channel numbers

Quest is changing channel numbers on Freeview, moving its +1 timeshift channel to sit alongside the main channel.

The channel, operated by Discovery Networks International, is making use of a vacated channel number left following the closure of shopping channel price drop.

From today, Quest moves from channel 38 to channel 37. Quest+1 moves from channel 57 to channel 38.

Viewers who opt not to retune their Freeview TV or box will continue to see Quest and Quest+1 on their old channel numbers. Some modern Freeview devices will automatically adjust the channel numbers.

Further changes to the Freeview line-up take place in June, with the launch of a new summer BBC Red Button service. Later in the summer, TruTV launches and on the 3rd September, there's a major reshuffle of news and children's channel numbers.

Freeview says: "To get the most up to date service from Freeview it is important to retune from time to time. If you still have issues with channels you may be able to get more help from Freeview advice line on 08456 50 50 50."
