Reading 107 is Jack'd

Reading 107 has today become Jack FM Berkshire.

The station is available on FM and via DAB on the Reading and Basingstoke multiplex. Reading 107 first launched on DAB in August 2013.

Reading FC and Reading 107 Chairman Sir John Madejski signed a deal in January to license the Jack FM name, as part of his plan to invest in bringing more entertaining and local radio to the area. Today's launch coincided with the Reading Half Marathon.

The Jack FM brand is already used by several radio stations across southern England, including in Bristol and Oxford.

The format consists of a presenter-led breakfast show, followed by non-stop music for the rest of the day. Robin Banks and Neal Mayhem will present the new Jack FM Berkshire breakfast show from 6am tomorrow.
