Birdsong is back on DAB

The sound of birdsong has returned to DAB digital radio following the removal of Jazz FM on the national commercial DAB multiplex Digital One.

Birdsong, originally broadcast on FM prior to the launch of Classic FM over 20 years ago and used over the last decade as a filler service on DAB, is expected to be on DAB until February, when a replacement service for the former Jazz FM slot is anticipated to launch.

Jazz FM is now only available in the London area on DAB; listeners in the London area who have lost Jazz FM need to search for the station in their station list or rescan their DAB radio. Outside of London, Jazz FM is available online, on Sky and via Freesat.
