Dave Ja Vu reverts back to part time on Freeview

Dave Ja Vu on Freeview channel 25 is being cut back to an overnight part time service from tomorrow, 8th July 2013.

The timeshift channel was reinstated as a full-time service on a temporary basis in January as a result of owners UKTV obtaining additional bandwidth on the terrestrial television platform. The bandwidth will now be used for the new Drama channel for most of the time.

According to the Freeview Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), Dave Ja Vu will continue to be broadcast between 0200 and 0500 every night. The arrangement keeps channel 25 available for UKTV, should it wish to launch further services in the future on Freeview, or reinstate Dave Ja Vu again in the future.

As a result, and in accordance with the latest data from the Freeview EPG, Drama will close down on Freeview at 0200 and return for Teleshopping at 0500, despite original schedules indicating programmes until 0500. It appears that programmes between 0200 and 0500 on Drama will now be only available on Sky, where the Drama Channel has confirmed it will be launching, although the channel number has not yet been confirmed.
