Chart Show Dance in line to join Freesat

CSC Media's Chart Show Dance channel is preparing to launch on Freesat this month, in the latest in a series of new music channels to join the free-to-air satellite service.

The announcement was made on the channel's Twitter account. Sister show Chart Show TV is already available on Freesat channel 500. Chart Show TV and Chart Show Dance are part of the CSC Media group, who also operate channels including True Entertainment, True Movies, The Vault, POP and Kix.

According to the Twitter announcement, the channel expects to be on the Freesat EPG on 15th July 2013. It would become the 20th music channel on Freesat. No details about a potential channel number has yet been released.

  • On 21st July 2013, CSC Media Group is closing children's channel Pop Girl +1 and replacing it from 22nd July 2013 with Kix Power. Both channels are on Sky, but Freesat viewers can access them in non-Freesat mode (Eutelsat 28A, frequency: 11307, vertical polarisation, symbol rate 27500).
