4oD joins Freesat < Free Time >

Channel 4's on-demand catch up TV portal 4oD has today joined Freesat's next generation platform < free time >.

The service joins other video-on-demand portals BBC iPlayer, ITV Player and YouTube. 4oD will give viewers access to upto 30 days of Channel 4 programming, plus access to classic Channel 4 shows.

An update with the latest information regarding the inclusion of Channel 5's Demand 5 on < free time > is expected soon.

4oD will not be available on regular Freesat boxes.

Emma Scott, Freesat’s Managing Director commented: "We’re delighted that 4oD is now live on
<free time>, further strengthening our on demand offering with yet more brilliant programmes. It's also incredibly exciting to be the first UK TV platform to host the HTML 5 version of 4oD, which
enables us to make the simple pleasure of watching TV even better through great technology."
