Swansea's Nation 80s rebrands again

Swansea's Nation 80s station has re-branded once again and expanded its playlist. The Town and Country Broadcasting-owned station now broadcasts under the name "Nation Hits".

The station - originally called Swansea Bay Radio then Bay Radio - became an all 80s station last year. With the re-brand, Nation Hits has widened its playlist to include music from the 1970s. Its sister station Nation Radio concentrates on newer music.

Nation Hits is available across South Wales and The Severn Estuary on DAB digital radio, in addition to its FM frequency covering Swansea.

The South Wales and Severn Estuary multiplex is to close by the 29th July 2013. It is unknown if Nation Hits will migrate across to one of several of the other local multiplexes serving South Wales.
