Pick TV, Challenge and Sky News now live on Freesat

IN BRIEF Pick TV, Challenge and Sky News are now available on Freesat channels 144, 145 and 202. The channels were added earlier today to the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG). Receivers will add the services automatically - some quicker than others.

Some Freesat receivers, including all Humax brand receivers will update automatically overnight - providing they aren't unplugged overnight - and will include the channels tomorrow in the listings. Other types of Freesat receiver scan for new channels after they have been switched off. To get services faster, they can be turned off for two minutes, and then turned back on to get the channel update.

The inclusion of the three Sky channels was confirmed on Twitter on Saturday. +1 versions of Challenge and Pick TV and the HD version of Sky News are not included in the deal struck between Sky and Freesat.  More here.
