RTE Radio 1 LW off air 3rd August

RTE's Long Wave service from the Summerhill transmitter on 252kHz is once again off air on Friday 3rd August, this time between between 0900 and 1700hours. This is due to engineering work as confirmed by RTENL on RTE Aertel page 169.

The engineering work is part of a long spell of work at the transmitter site in County Meath which started in June, leading to various interruptions in transmissions during June and July, with the most recent occuring on 31st July.  In the meantime RTE Radio 1 can still be heard in the UK via Sky, Freesat and online.
