Create & Craft gets extra hours on Freeview

Ideal World's sister channel Create & Craft has extended its hours from today on Freeview.

Create & Craft, currently on Freeview channel 36, confirmed the extended hours yesterday on its Facebook site, stating "Great news crafters! From tomorrow we will be extending our hours on Freeview until 10pm."

The channel has asked viewers to tell them via the social networking site what their perfect show line-up would be for the extended hours.

The shopping channel will broadcast from 6am until 10pm, thus adding an extra four hours in the evening from 6pm. It's first night of extended programming on Freeview feature the teleshopping segment "Crafting with the Glitter Girls".

Create & Craft is now using the 4 hour evening slot freed up by Food Network, which has moved to its own stream on the Arqiva A multiplex in order to be able to go 24/7.  Food Network's channel number will remain unchanged for the time being.

Until today, both Create & Craft and Food Network shared a stream, albeit with separate channel numbers, with adult programming using the stream overnight. This arrangement dates back to last year, when an extra video stream was added to Arqiva A.

It is currently not known what the situation is in the pre-switchover Tyne Tees and Ulster TV regions, where pre-switchover Multiplex C (with less available bandwidth) is still in operation until switchover stage 2.
