Minor Freeview EPG reshuffle proposed for 18th April

Since this article was published, DMOL has confirmed a minor reshuffle of channels on Monday 16th April, rather than Wednesday 18th, as indicated in the following article, originally published on the 29th March 2012. (update 30/03/2012 20:38)
A minor, temporary reorganisation of local and adult TV channels on Freeview is planned to take place simultaneously with stage 2 of digital switchover in the London region on 18th April, according to documents released today by Freeview EPG controller, DMOL.

18th April is also the date viewers along the South Coast would have to retune anyway to continue watching commercial channels on Freeview, too.

Adult channels are to be moved into one block from channel 91, bookended at channels 90 and 99. Local TV service Channel M in Manchester will be promoted from channel 200 to channel 75.

Here's the list:

The reshuffle is only going to be a temporary arrangement as DMOL, are currently consulting on major changes to the Freeview/Digital Terrestrial Television line up following the Paralympic Games in September 2012, which will involve the adult services moving to the end of the linear TV channel numbering range. Local TV services will be further promoted from Autumn, and the new network of Local TV channels on Freeview are expected to launch on channel 8 in England and Northern Ireland and channel 45 in Scotland and Wales.

The week of the 18th April, is also the week More4+2 is to launch on Freeview, so any retune done on the 18th should add the new service, if not done in the days prior to the 18th. More4+2 is to be a placeholder channel ahead of the launch of Channel 4 shuffle channel 4seven.
